Welcome Reception
Krystal Withakay (spaxwawlm) of the syilx nation
The first person the welcome the delegates to this year's conference was Krystal Withakay of the syilx nation. Calling nearby Westbank home, she is a student of tourism and marketing and was thus especially qualified to extend a warm welcome to the delegates who have travelled to the beautiful Okanagan Valley and her traditional lands. Krystal is also a talented singer and proved so at the end of her welcome speech.
