Activities
This year's Add-on Events start on Sunday, May 26th with a "tasting tour" of two local wineries – Blue Grouse Estate Winery and the Unsworth Vineyard and Winery – and the Red Arrow Craft Brewery. Transportation will be provided.
Our final stop on the winery/brewery tour will be the Red Arrow Craft Brewery in Duncan, BC. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat before the bus ride back to Nanaimo. As we only have one hour at this location, it would be best to pre-order your food ahead of time. If you would like to pre-order, please email naomi.thomas@ycd.ca with your name, food order, and any dietary restrictions. All food will be on individual bills and can be paid for at the venue. Red Arrow Brewing Menu
On Monday, May 27th, the second Add-on Event is a tour of Coulson Aviation's Port Alberni facility. View the historic Martin Mars Water Bomber in situ before it's final journey to the BC Aviation Museum! Luncheon and transportation provided.
Please Note: Add-on Events are not included with conference registration. Seating for Add-on Events is limited so book now through the conference registration webpage to avoid disappointment.

Sustainability
At the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, our commitment to sustainability deepens each year. We started with award-winning green building practices, and have since evolved to include an extensive program of reducing waste, recycling, and sourcing products locally or regionally.
We’re always looking for ways to make a bigger impact. We recently added a solar-powered water pre-heating system, and future plans include ‘planting’ our green-ready roof. With every improvement, we look forward to working with clients to help them maximize the benefits of planning events that are even more sustainable. Read More
