I always thought my dream was to be a businesswomen working for a large corporate company, slipping on heels and sipping on coffee everyday. It seemed like an appropriate dream given the influence from my mother who is a business analyst. It wasn’t until in grade nine, when my mom brought me to her day in her office that I realized business was not where my passion located. Since then I have been trying to find my “true passion”, and my ideas went in more ways than the four cardinal directions.
And that’s when it happened, the spark I was missing ignited the moment I walked by the airport on the Pitt river regional greenway trail. I saw a Cessna 172 flying over my head onto the runway. ( I mean seriously, how can it not be great when the kids beside me all shout their excitement and the adults all whispering their admiration?) Now I am pursing my dream of aviation alongside my degree at UBC.
