Lakshmikanth ("Laksh-mee-kaan-the") is a TCCA, FAA & DGCA-India CPL-ME-IR with 540 hours of total fixed wing flight experience, over 10% of which has been logged in the Diamond DA42 TDI. He honed his Aviation skills and knowledge from S. Ontario, Quebec City, BC Lowermainland, Van Island, the US PNW, and NW and S. India. He also has a hair of Glider-birding experience from Lucan, ON and Hope, BC and values Gliding as a foundation for Powered Birding. He is passionate about mentoring new Student Pilots and introducing Aviation-curious-people to the prospect of earning their wings which he has diligently exercised since at least 2021.
He is a regular attendee of COPA-26's (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) monthly Pilot Decision Making workshop, wherever on the planet he is, and actively partakes in online and in-person Aviation Safety Seminars and hangar hangouts, and occasionally volunteers at various Airshows. He is keen to get his C4 Flight Instructor Rating from a BC-based FTU in 2026. As of 2026-Q2, he is in the process of beginning his official teaching career as a CPL-A Ground Instructor in India, while also securing funds for his TCCA C4 FIR. He is also open to Canada-wide 702/3/4 opportunities.
