Our August webinar features Dr. Suzanne Kearns, Associate Professor of Geography and Aviation at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Kearns' research specializations are aviation safety, training methodologies, and human factors. She is best known as author of several aviation books, Series Editor of the 'Aviation Fundamentals' textbook series, and for her work supporting the International Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) programme and Global Aviation Training initiatives with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
On August 14, Dr. Kearns will be sharing with us:
- how human factors and aviation sustainability has been affected by COVID-19; and
- her international involvement with the Next Generation of Aviation Professions, which explores strategies to attract, educate, and retain people in aviation.
At the end, Dr. Kearns will be taking questions.
