Event Details
Waypoint Aviation Connections began in 2015 when students from the aviation clubs at SFU, UBC and BCIT joined together to create an event to help aviation students and recent graduates connect with professionals in the industry. Waypoint is the largest student-led aviation and aerospace networking event in the province. This year, in partnership with the British Columbia Aviation Council, we continue that tradition and are thrilled to host Waypoint for the fifth time. It is open to all.
The event takes place on Thursday, January 23, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, on the second floor (rooms 280/282/284) of the British Columbia Institute of Technology Downtown Campus (555 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC). Waypoint includes engaging presentations from industry professionals, as well as generous networking sessions to allow students and recent graduates to meet and connect with industry representatives.
The theme of this year’s Waypoint event is sustainability. It features a lineup of three speakers who will present their organizations’ progress in ensuring the long-term sustainability of our industry. The event will conclude with a moderated panel discussion with the speakers that will delve deeper into a number of key areas. Click here for the draft program of the evening.
Light refreshments will be served over the course of the evening. All paid attendees will receive a raffle ticket.
The event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of the British Columbia Institute of Technology Aerospace Campus (BCIT) and the British Columbia Aviation Council.
