We're trying something new this year by having a caricature artist, Cory Van Ieperen, provide our guests with "corycatures" that they can take home and enjoy for years to come.
Fine Dining BC Style. Silver Wings wouldn't be complete without a wide variety of delicious gourmet offerings to satisfy everyone's taste. The carnivores among us will enjoy two different carving stations while the vegetarians/vegans will enjoy fresh, thoughtfully-prepared dishes.

YVR becomes first airport in Canada to achieve Level 4+ Airport Carbon Accreditation
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has received Level 4+ Airport Carbon Accreditation by Airports Council International, making it the first airport in Canada and only one of three in North America to achieve this status.
The Level 4+ accreditation recognizes YVR’s role in setting a course for its own carbon reduction while actively working with aviation partners to drive broader emissions reductions.
“At YVR, we have a long history of innovation and sustainability and are proud to be at the forefront of creating a greener, more resilient future for our airport and aviation as well as our community and the economy that supports it,” said Tamara Vrooman, President & CEO at Vancouver Airport Authority. “Achieving this new level of certification is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative mindset of our YVR team and business partners. I look forward to continued progress toward our ambitious climate goals as we collaborate with industry and government to decarbonize our sector.”
YVR is advancing work under its Roadmap to Net Zero Carbon and remains on track to become net zero by 2030 and one of the greenest airports in the world. Work includes following four decarbonization pathways that outline actions necessary for the airport to reduce emissions from its direct operations, referred to as Scope 1 and 2 emissions. The pathways are green fleets, energy conservation and electrification, replacing fossil fuels with renewable alternatives, and strategically purchasing carbon removals to close the gap. (READ MORE)

Prince George breaks ground on world’s largest hydrogen refuelling station
Hydra Energy has now broken ground on the world’s largest hydrogen refueling station in Prince George, which will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the heavy duty trucking industry.
This marks the first project in the company’s western Canadian hydrogen corridor, which will serve B.C. and Alberta-based heavy duty trucks that have been converted to run on both hydrogen and diesel using Hydra’s zero cost co-combustion conversion kits.
“We realize that part of the response to climate change is lower our CO2 emissions whenever and wherever possible. Hydra Energy announced last fall that it has the technology system to equip commercial trucks transports by hydrogen fuel which results in 40 per cent lower emissions,” said Lheidli T’enneh Chief Dolleen Logan during the ground-breaking ceremony.
“Now that Prince George will be home to the world’s largest hydrogen refueling station, that is exactly the direction - lowering emissions - that our members can support.”
Hydra’s new Prince George refueling station and hydrogen production will be located on five acres on Sintich Road, will produce 3,250 kilograms of hydrogen per day and can refuel as quickly as diesel and up to 24 converted trucks each hour across four bays.
The station's low-carbon hydrogen is being produced from two on-site, 5 megawatt electrolysers with electricity coming from BC Hydro, The province's main electricity utility with 31 hydroelectric facilities throughout the province. (READ MORE)
