Message from the Give Hope Wings - Hope Air Crew
Hi Folks,
Once again this year we, the Give Hope Wings Crew, are flying for Hope Air. Over the past five years, we've conducted five long-distance expeditions to raise money and awareness for Hope Air's critically important service – providing free medical flights to Canadians who must get to medical care far from home. These five flights have so far raised a total of $1,300,000.
The pandemic has not reduced the need for Hope Air's service - quite the reverse. For this reason, we will embark on a major flight across Canada from Victoria on June 6th. We'll fly to St John's, Newfoundland, before turning west and terminating in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (near Montreal), Québec, at the COPA Annual Convention on June 25th.
Our target is to raise $1,000,000 this year, which will be enough to fund 2,850 additional free medical flights! You can donate instantly by clicking here. Tax receipts will also be issued instantly online with your donation.
If you are a pilot and want to fly with us please click here. Then, once you have registered as a Give Hope Wings supporter, a fundraising page will automatically be created for you. Thereafter, click here to register as a pilot.
This expedition will stop in all ten provinces and will make many awareness stops to publicize the great services provided by Hope Air. If you take a few minutes to go through our website, you can see our full itinerary and read about how this iconic Canadian charity brings hope and medical care to those not as fortunate as ourselves. We expect to have more than 25 aircraft join us as we traverse the country. Please follow our flight on the website as there will be live tracking, and please watch our Instagram and Facebook pages for continuous updates.

Corporate Profile
HM Aero Aviation Consulting is a team of airport planners, engineers, pilots and project managers with a passion for aviation. In British Columbia, HM Aero has become a trusted partner to regional and community airports such as Golden, Revelstoke, Squamish, Lillooet, and Bella Coola. Elsewhere in Canada, HM Aero provides professional consulting services in two territories and five provinces, assisting municipal, territorial, and provincial governments to understand their airport operations and future requirements to support air transportation needs.
Regional and community airports face unique challenges, both before COVID-19 and in the aftermath of the pandemic. In many cases, municipal and regional airport owners are faced with limited financial resources, competing operational and capital investment priorities, and emergent challenges such as climate change adaptation. New regulatory requirements, infrastructure degradation, and land use encroachment introduces further complexity; however, with forward-looking planning these challenges can be overcome and future opportunities can be pursued.
HM Aero’s priority is maximizing the value to its clients by delivering projects in a collaborative and project specific manner. Through the 2020 Golden Airport Viability Study, HM Aero was provided with the opportunity to articulate the economic and social benefits of the aerodrome to the municipality and the surrounding region. Through the support of HM Aero, the Town of Golden was successful in completing a long-term strategic plan; securing federal grant funding; and preparing the detailed engineering design for the rehabilitation of the facility’s runway, taxiways, and aprons, as well as the preparation of airside development lots.
HM Aero is excited to attend the 2022 BCAC conference and we look forward to connecting with members in-person once again!
